Below is a link to a thinglink presentation on proper football throwing mechanics. It shows videos of basic fundamentals, things like the three and five step drops, proper stances, different drills, and other things. It would be a good presentation to show young quarterbacks who are interested in getting better. Presentations like this could also be made for other positions. It would be beneficial in other sports as well. I like thinglink presentations because it is easy to use and much more interesting than your typical powerpoint presentations. There are a lot of ways to use these presentations. By posting links to these presentations on your blog it allows for students, athletes, parents, and coaches to have easy access to some very good information.

Proper Running Form Quiz - Kahoot
Below is a link to a "Kahoot" quiz I created. It is on the principles of proper running technique. It could be very beneficial to middle school level students and would serve as a good reminder to high school students and athletes. It is a 10 question multiple choice quiz on the basic fundamentals of running. It could also be used for parents to help teach their grade school children proper running techniques at home. I like the idea of using Kahoot quizzes because it is a fun and competitive way to quiz students on important information they should know about sports. I developed this quiz by using examples from a track and field guidebook I got while taking a Coaching Track and Field class here at Doane, examples from texts and field experience from working with Phys Ed instructor Cindy Meyer here at Doane, and different online articles.

Intro Blog
My goals for this blog this semester is to get a better understanding of how blogs work and how they can be applied in the classroom. I think they can be very beneficial but I am rather inexperienced with them so far. I think good ways to use the blog when I become a teacher and coach will be to give updates on how sport seasons are going. As a PE teacher I could have students put up news about their favorite teams. It could also be a good way to notify parents about fundraisers and different activities that are going on.
